Lesleigh is a member of the Litigation team at IRDI Legal, dealing primarily with Church-related matters. She focuses on building strong relationships with her clients in order to reach practical and timely solutions for their benefit.
Lesleigh was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2013 and the High Court of Australia in 2017. She has gained experience in a broad range of areas including civil and commercial litigation, personal injury law, employment law and criminal injuries compensation claims.
She has appeared in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts of Western Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, as well as appearing in the National Native Title Tribunal. Lesleigh has acquired experience in dealing with many aspects of native title law and engagement with Indigenous peoples.
Most recently, Lesleigh has served as company secretary for three incorporated and related Church entities. She has provided advice, education and training about the protection of children and vulnerable people, developed risk mitigation strategies, drafted policies, overseen redress claims, drafted apologies and otherwise engaged with survivors of abuse claims.
Lesleigh graduated from Murdoch University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Asian Studies (Japanese Specialist). She has a keen interest in Japanese history, language and culture, having completed two semesters of Japanese language studies and a Japanese Law intensive in Japan.
