Susan Thick is a Senior Lawyer - Knowledge Manager at IRDI Legal.

After having practised as a commercial and commercial litigation lawyer for over 12 years, Susan changed focus to specialise in legal precedents and knowledge management. She has worked in that area since 1992 (exclusively since 1998) and has extensive experience as a precedents and knowledge manager, precedents lawyer and legal drafter in both large and smaller law firms. She holds a Certificate in Knowledge Management from Victoria University.

Susan has a special interest in plain language writing and document style. She is currently a member of the Law Society of Western Australia’s Clear Writing Committee.

In her role at IRDI, Susan is working with staff in all divisions – Legal, Settlements and Securities – to develop further the firm’s information sharing capabilities (for the benefit of both staff and clients) and the technology platform underpinning that to deliver best practice outcomes quickly and efficiently.
