Kim is a senior lawyer with IRDI Legal. A graduate in Law and Jurisprudence from the University of Western Australia, Kim was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1983.

Kim was a solicitor and partner with Phillips Fox and then a solicitor at Corser and Corser before joining IRDI Legal in 1994.
